Sonae Arauco’s Innovus MFC decorative product range has won the Green Product Award 2022 in the Interior and Lifestyle category of the much anticipated annual awards in Munich, Germany.
Nils Bader founded the Green Product Award in 2013 to recognise sustainable and innovative designs on a global stage. The categories are architecture & tiny houses, beauty & personal care, building components, consumer goods, fashion, interior & lifestyle, kids, kitchen, mobility, new materials, packaging, sport and workspace.
For the 9th award cycle, 52,000 votes were cast for the 500 projects from 52 countries that applied for the best product or concept awards.
Innovus MFC is a decorative wood particleboard panel with a melamine resin-coated finish for interior surface applications.
The judges complimented Sonae Arauco on the product’s combination of aesthetic components and technical performance and its contribution to environmental sustainability with the incorporation of recycled wood. Innovus MFC is ideal for residential, public and commercial projects because it is easy to clean, scratch-resistant, and dirt-repellent.
At the awards ceremony, Bader commented that Innovus MFC “proves that sustainability, design and innovation are a perfect match for a more ecological lifestyle and future.”
