The recently launched Innovus Spirit finish, designed to complement Sonae Arauco’s woodgrains set, combines the elements of “Matching Life” with contemporary interior decorative applications.
Spirit is an exclusive finish that appears full of movement and contrasting textures. Combined with Innovus’ premium décors, it provides the haptic of natural wood’s look and feel. This makes Spirit an exceptional product that defines and expands the Innovus Decorative Products Range.
One year ago, Sonae Arauco introduced its global brand, Innovus, in South Africa. It was a landmark occasion because by replacing the traditional Novolam collection, the company aligned its local and international interior design offerings.
Spirit finishes are high-quality products only available on medium density fibreboard (MDF) based products. Why use MDF? It is an exceptionally stable canvas for decorative applications and a highly versatile product for commercial interior projects and home design.
The superb finish is developed with the sophistication of Italian walnut in mind, providing the perfect solution for elegant wall panelling and furniture applications. When envisioning a multifunctional space, a decorative haptic design contrasted with woodgrains or solid colours brings nature inside and transforms life in the home.

Spirit is available in five exclusive décors complement Sonae Arauco’s woodgrains suite.
- Amber is light, airy, and perfect for bright open spaces. It is a fair and stencilled décor with unique airbrushed accents to create a welcoming yet contemporary look and feel.
- Aurora has sleek patterns of hardwood combined with a mature and greyed colour palette. It enhances the look and feel of modern urban spaces.
- Nevada is rich in texture and vibrant in colour. Nevada accentuates a warm and inviting ambience with detailed patterns and a “wistful” touch.
- Eclipse is inspired by the neutral colour palette of contemporary design. Eclipse bears the hallmark patterns of ebony wood combined with an enticing yet collected dark expression.
- Kingswood is a royal delight with a dark and chocolatey palette enhancing its deep and enticing pattern. It is a splendid décor for vibrant interiors.
These new décors are available alongside the existing decors on the interactive Innovus app and the Sonae Arauco 3D simulator.
