Architecture students from the University of Pretoria (UP) were awarded first and second place in the national Timber Design Competition. WoodBiz Africa chatted with Shannon Govender (SG), who walked away with first place for her interlending of emerging technologies and vernacular knowledge, and runner-up Nicola Smuts (NS), whose design was inspired by symbiosis.
