Delft Forestry, a family-owned and run business, won NCT‘s Commercial Tree Farmer of the Year Award.
The family’s farms, Delft, Welkom and Lodewykslust Landgoed, cover a total area of 4,600 hectares in the Mkhondo area on the border of Mpumalanga and Kwa-Zulu Natal near the Kingdom of Swaziland. There are three business divisions, Simbra cattle breeding, timber farming and essential oils production.
In 1995, the journey commenced when Desiré and Tito Vorster established Delft Plantasieboerdery Vennootskap. In 2005, the couple made life-changing decisions.
