The International Social Security Association (ISSA) selected Altendorf’s Hand Guard system as the 2023 Safe Machines Award winner. It is the cherry on top of several innovation and safety awards and accolades for the system. The Hand Guard system is integrated with its latest panel saws. The blade immediately drops when cameras detect a hand or finger in a dangerous position. The technology is based on specific hand characteristics developed by artificial intelligence (AI).
