Brian de Villiers completed his pre-graduate, BSc Agric Hons and MSc Agric at the University of the Free State. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Pretoria. He did research on adjuvants at the Small Grain Institute for 17 years and then joined Villa Crop Protection for a further 17 years as Marketing Advisor and later Product Manager for adjuvants. He also worked for two six-month periods at North Dakota State University as a visiting scientist. He is currently a private consultant and does projects for Villa, the popular media etc.
