Agroforestry enhances soil health, protects water quality, increases biodiversity, mitigates and adapts to climate change, and provides food security, health and revenues. It is an essential component of the needed ecological, energetic, social and economic transition. This critical transition is only achievable through a participatory process that helps build bridges between research, policy decisions and fieldwork. The 5th World Congress on Agroforestry will help create or strengthen those connections by promoting knowledge sharing to transition to a unified and healthy world.
